Who we are

We are a group of concerned Morris Brandon parents advocating for our voices to be heard by the APS Board of Education regarding the APS Forward 2040 plan, which proposes significant boundary realignments that will directly impact Morris Brandon Elementary. Notwithstanding repeated requests from parents and community members for realignment maps, APS and its consulting firm, HPM, continue to deny these requests until a scenario is selected. However, the voiced concern that parents and community members are unable to make an educated decision without these maps continues to fall on deaf ears. We believe such impactful decisions should not be rushed and are urging the Board to delay the vote on the proposed scenarios until after the upcoming school board election. Our community is asking for greater transparency, more detailed information, and a meaningful opportunity to engage in the process before any final decisions are made.
